The Cervantes Public Project

Humanistic voices from the past resisting the manipulation of reality in the present in defense of a common future.

The Cervantes Public Project (CPP) is a network community of academics, public intellectuals, creators, and activists committed to making Cervantes more present in today’s public conversations as an antidote to one-sided, uninformed mass communication. We discuss today’s pressing issues and contemporary debates on social justice and cultural inclusion through the irreverent and insightful Cervantine lens. The CCP’s multi-platform contributions (blogs, posts, performances, podcasts, art, and so on) promote the combination of self-irony, skepticism, and sympathy towards humankind in all its complexity that is the hallmark of Cervantes' fiction.

The ultimate goal of this multi-disciplinary engagement is to make Cervantes a vital force in the public sphere.
